THE PLAYERS - SEASON 2008 / 2009

Charlie
Anderson
(Midfield)
Coming in on the back of his best season for the club, good on the ball and holds his position well. Downside is he has little man syndrome
Games 77 - Goals 4 - Cards: Yellow 12 - Red 2
James
Anderson
(Midfield / Forward)
Aggressive and determined midfielder who runs all day. Equally at home up front or getting stuck in, in midfield. Once got likened to Peter Crouch by Ben Gooray!!!
Games 54 - Goals 30 - Cards: Yellow 9
Matthew
Anderson
(Defender)
The third of the Anderson trio, again won’t play very much this season due to living in Oxfordshire. Steady as you like when actually called upon though.
Games 2 - Goals 0
Andy
Bailes
(Forward)
The big lad with a good touch and an eye for goal from the bench. Will often be seen trying to sell you things from the back of a van at end of games.
Games 19 - Goals 4
David
Banks
(Forward)
Remarkable still knocking in the goals for the club after reaching over 120 during last season. Surely that is testament to the service he receives?
Games 108 - Goals 105 - Cards: Yellow 2
Richard
Bell
(Midfield)
Claims to have shaken off his ‘sicknote’ nickname with punishing gym sessions during the off season. Missed most of last season recuperating!
Games 50 - Goals 13
Tim Chesworth (Utility)
Another new signing for this season, looks comfortable on the ball
Greg
Collins
(Defender / Midfielder)
Tenacious player who is at home at full-back or on the wing. Good engine on him.
Games 60 - Goals 4 - Cards: Yellow 2
Craig
Dillnutt
(Midfield)
Another of our midfield battlers, will probably miss a lot of games this year due to relocation, although may be tempted back for a midfield tussle with his brother!!
Games 76 - Goals 26 - Cards: Yellow 2
Graeme
Duff
(Defender)
Dependable captain, now entering his 7th season with the club, at home at centre back, despite playing in every position for the club.
Games 92 - Goals 7 - Cards: Yellow 9 - Red 2
Stewart
Duff
(Defender / Midfield)
Another whose commute will limit the number of games he plays this year, started his club career as a midfielder but gets called upon as an emergency defender more often now.
Games 35 - Goals 7 - Cards: Yellow 1
Sam Harte (Utility)
Has filled most positions in his short career at the club, quick, fit and has a good work ethic.
Games 9 - Goals 4
Neil Lewis (Defender)
Good reader of the game and communicates well at the back, suffered with injuries last term and is off skiing this year.
Games 24 - Goals 1
Kris McMahon (Midfield)
Last of the new players, has a sweet left peg and good vision.
Jack Mitchell (Defender / Midfield)
Looks a good acquisition for the club, strong on the ball and a good left foot.
Pete Morrison (Midfield / Forward)
In his second spell with the club, good with the ball at his feet and happy on set-pieces
Games 55 - Goals 23
Dean Mtumbi (Midfield)
Slight winger with a good engine, can get up and down all day. At University this year, so will only make sporadic appearances.
Jon
Pace
(Keeper / Defender)
Playing his final few games for the club before retirement and refeering.
Games 110 - Goals 2 - Cards: Yellow 1 - Red 1
Steve Smith (Defender)
Played more often under the new management last season and has general played at full-back. Scored against Pin Green last year. Doubts over his reaction times!!
Games 27 - Goals 1
Scott Storti (Defender)
New signing for this season, tall old fashioned centre-half
Ben Travis (Goalkeeper)
New signing Ben seems to be a good shot-stopper
Nick
Webb
(Defender)
The ‘Senior’ player of the side, at home at full-back but has filled in at centre-back when needed. Often gets mistaken for a Copper!
Games 60
Ian
Woods
(Defender)
Spent most of last season in goal for the club but still managed two goals in a game last season, will be hoping to spend more time on pitch this year.
Games 90 - Goals 3 - Cards: Yellow 1
